Rock Run Waterfall (monochrome)

Annual Trek Countdown

This monochrome photo of a waterfall was taken near the small town of Emporium, Pennsylvania March 26th of 2010. I am looking forward to my annual trek so I can photograph this waterfall again, which requires a fairly rugged hike to access.

This nice looking waterfall is located just off the Bucktail Path which is a 34-mile hiking trail between Emporium and Sinnemahoning, Pa.; normally I try to visit this area between mid-March and mid-April, since before the middle of March the steep trail descending to the waterfall is snow covered and quite slippery, and after about the middle of April rattlesnakes can be encountered. Since I usually have a dog with me I try to avoid rattler encounters.
